We go to Nubra the following day going through Khardung La (5,605m/18,390ft) thought about the most astounding motorable road in the world, once in Nubra, you can appreciate ATV rides, Camel rides on the celebrated twofold bumped Bactrian camels. We make a beeline for the delightful Pangong lake going through the Shayok River. Once in Pangong, you can stroll along the lake and unwind as you will be worn out from the ride. We make a beeline for Leh and we exchange you back at the air terminal for your trip back home.

Day 1:

Manali (2,050m/ 6,730ft)

Once you arrive in Manali you will be met by our representative at the bus stop and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will be introduced to our staff and your bikes for testing your bikes, you can take it for a test drive around the town of Manali.

Day 2:

Manali to Jispa (3,140m/10,305ft) 140 km/ approx. 8 hours

This morning you will be briefed about the tour and then we ride towards Jispa via the Rohtang pass (3978 m). This high altitude road connects the densely fertile and green Kullu valley to the barren region of Ladakh. We start at Manali, slowly riding up the mountain roads till Rohtang Pass and entering the Lahaul valley. You arrive at Jispa in the evening and we will check into your hotel.

Day 3:

Jispa to Sarchu (4,220m/13,845ft) 90 Km/ approx. 6 hours

Ride over the picturesque Baralacha Pass (4,891m). All along you will get plenty of stops to capture the scenic splendor of this majestic landscape dotted with snow-capped peaks and high altitude lakes. After crossing the pass we head down to the Sarchu plains and check into the fixed camps.

Day 4:

Sarchu to Leh (3,505m/11,500ft) 240 km/ 8-9 hours

Today you ride to Leh. We will climb a series of Galta loops consisting of 22 hairpin bends on the way up from Sarchu (also known as 22 mordh) in Hindi and come out in Pang valley. We cross Pang, riding along the Tsangpo River and continue to drive up to yet another plateau on the legendary Moore plains. The highest of the Tibetan Plateau at 4,200 meters. We continue riding towards Tanglang La 5328m claimed to be the second highest motor-able pass in the world that gives us some breathtaking views of the Zanskar range. A pleasant ride for about 20 Kms brings you to the beautiful village of Gya, heralded by prayer flags. We will pass through a couple of more villages before we reach the main town of Leh. Once we reach leh we will check into your hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 5:

Leh - Local Sightseeing to Shey palace, Thiksey & Hemis monastery

Today you ride around Leh and visit some of the famous and ancient monasteries. It will be a good time to test the bikes and get acclimatized at the same time to the high altitude.
Shey palace is 15 km from Leh. It used to be the summer palace of the king of Ladakh. The Shey Gompa is also in the palace complex, it was built by Deldan Namgyal in the memory of his father Senge Namgyal. Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal in 1655 AD. The main attraction in Shey is the giant copper with a gilded gold statue of a seated Shakyamuni Buddha.
Thiksey Gompa is about 19 km from Leh. The monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelugpa order (yellow sect). It bears resemblance to the Potala Palace of Lhasa, Tibet and is the largest Gompa in central Ladakh.
Hemis monastery is 45 km from Leh. It belongs to the Drukpa Lineage (Red Hat). The famous Hemis festival is held in the month of July. It was founded by King Sengge Namgyal in the early 17th century.

Day 6:

Leh to Nubra Valley (3,048m/10,000 ft) 125 kms/ 6 hours

Today you will be riding through the Khardung La pass (5,605m/18,390ft) the world’s highest motorable road to reach the beautiful Nubra valley, which lies between the Karakoram and the Ladakh range to the north and to the south lies the Shayok and the Nubra rivers. We will reach Hunder in the evening and check into the hotel and later walk to a sand dune and enjoy camel ride (optional).

Day 7:

Nubra to Pangong (4,250m/13,943ft) via Agham & Shyok village 175 km/ 8-9 hours

You start early in the morning today. This route has been becoming popular in recent year as we can save a day, so instead of coming back to Leh crossing the Khardung La pass, we head straight away to Pangong lake riding along the Shayok River. But, again this route has landslide prone stretches and it is a challenging route for a motorbike as you have to cross the river if it is during monsoon season it may not be possible to take this route. So in this case, if it is a rainy season we will come back to Leh and take the normal route through Changla pass. So, in this case, will need to have an extra day.

Day 8:

In Pangong

It is a free day, so you have the day to yourself to relax or explore the lake and the surrounding area. Pangong lake is 134 km long and 5 km wide spans between two countries, India & China. The sun paints its various hues on the canvas of the surrounding mountains as we watch spellbound while walking on the shores of the lake.

Day 9:

Pangong to Leh crossing Chang La (5,360m/ 17,585ft) 145km/ 6 hours

Today enjoy the sunrise at Pangong lake and after breakfast ride back to Leh. Arrive Leh in the evening and check into your hotel for dinner.

On time transfer you to Leh airport for your flight to Delhi/onward journey.
